Mitsubishi Electric: More than 50 Years of Technological Advancements in the Philippines Through IEE

Mitsubishi Electric, through International Elevator & Equipment, Inc. (IEE), has significantly shaped the Philippines' building solutions industry.

The company was established with the aim of becoming the leading provider of elevators, escalators, and other building technologies for Philippine schools, residential areas, healthcare facilities, and recreational buildings.

Now spanning more than 50 years in the industry, our expertise in the sales, installation, and maintenance of vertical transportation like elevators and escalators has been recognized by several companies who, later on, became our longstanding clients. These partnerships also enabled us to expand the Mitsubishi Electric products we offer, like air conditioning (AC) systems and building automation systems, to more local corporations.

Importance of Collaborative Efforts in The Technological Landscape

Collaboration, in the technological landscape, is important to ensure sustained innovation and progress. Mitsubishi Electric, through IEE, exemplifies the significance of such partnerships, emphasizing the need for synergy between both. The importance of joint efforts such as these can be summarized in three key points:

Synergies in Expertise: Synergistic partnerships bring together diverse skill sets. Mitsubishi Electric brings technological developments as IEE focuses on making these technologies accessible to the Philippine market.

Accelerated Technological Advancements: Collaborations enable fast access to technological advancements and the technical know-how needed to maintain them. Our collaboration makes it easy to stay at the forefront of providing technological building innovations in the Philippines.

Market Expansion and Impact: Strategic partnerships have a broader impact on building awareness as they enhance the reach and influence of both companies. Mitsubishi Electric is known for being one of the world’s leading technology manufacturers, and doing business with one another helps build trust and support for current and potential clients.

Characteristics Driving Growth

Our growth over the years can be attributed to several key characteristics:

Consistent Technological Developments: We have consistently pushed the boundaries of technological advancements in the building solutions industry to stay ahead of the curve.

Energy-saving Initiatives: The integration of energy-saving features, such as inverters, ensures optimal performance without compromising elevator traffic management.

Efficient Traffic Management: Innovative solutions like the Mitsubishi Emergency Landing Device (MELD) and the Destination Oriented Allocation System (DOAS) demonstrate a commitment to efficient traffic management, ensuring passenger safety and convenience.

The MELD functions as a rescue battery for safety to ensure that the equipped car moves and starts to the nearest floor to facilitate the passenger’s safe evacuation. DOAS, on the other hand, makes traffic control easier by reducing line buildup in the elevators.

Stellar Customer Support: Our commitment to stellar customer support begins with thorough employee development. Our training towers and employee programs ensure that our workforce is equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide excellent service. We provide this expertise to our clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week through our after-sales maintenance services which are backed by technical support from the Mitsubishi Information Center (MIC).
