We are spurred on by our anniversary theme, "Inspiring Innovation, Weaving a Vibrant Future: Our Emerald Legacy Continues,” to keep being the trusted building solutions provider for Philippine establishments. Making these technologies accessible to local enterprises is crucial to our goal of creating a more vibrant and sustainable society, and an even better tomorrow.
As a building solutions concierge, we do not just provide the technologies; we ensure world-class services too. Hence, we have planned our roadmap for 2024 to enable us to keep track of and measure our progress for the year and moving forward. Our 2024 IEE business roadmap is our guiding path toward creating Changes for the Better for our employees, our clients, and their tenants.
A strategic approach to staying ahead of the trends
Part of our roadmap for the year is to employ a strategic approach to staying ahead of industry trends. It involves brand-building strategies that leverage advancements and emerging technologies, enhancing user experience, and investing in our employees.
First, we aim to enhance our provided technologies’ functionality, efficiency, and sustainability by leveraging advancements such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and data analytics. For example, we are exploring the integration of smart sensors and IoT-enabled devices in our client's infrastructures. These systems, such as the Building Management System (BMS), enable real-time monitoring and control of various building systems and optimize energy usage to enhance the establishment’s overall performance. Additionally, we are investing in data systems to analyze data patterns and identify opportunities for proactive maintenance and predictive decision-making.
We also ensure enhanced user experiences through seamless technology integration and sustainable technologies. Our Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning systems and vertical transportation solutions seamlessly integrate with the BMS for fewer downtimes and improved efficiency.
We likewise practice sustainable building practices. Using eco-friendly and energy-efficient materials ensures adherence to corporate environmental responsibility, prioritizes comfort for our clients' tenants, and guarantees the longevity of their establishments.
Furthermore, we highly value collaborations with industry leaders, and training and development programs for our workforce. Investing in our employees’ skills development is essential to ensure our teams have the expertise to provide solutions and support for our clients. In doing so, we gain our client’s trust and make sure they get the most out of our Mitsubishi Electric technologies.
Working with our clients is also a strategic approach to staying ahead of the trends and solidifying perspective on industrial outlook. As a building solutions concierge, we aim to customize technologies to meet our clients’ needs and ensure their satisfaction. We then gain valuable insights to improve our services from their feedback.
Streamlining our decision-making framework
IEE’s 2024 roadmap also highlights our upcoming initiatives for our decision-making framework that involve input from various stakeholders. Feedback from cross-functional teams, customers, and industry experts helps us understand their priorities and learn potential outcomes from them. Additionally, we prioritize initiatives aligned with our core values of innovation, customer-centricity, and sustainability to benefit our clients and the broader community.
Our collaborative approach ensures that decisions are made collectively. We emphasize conducting thorough assessments – whether identifying emerging technologies, assessing suitability for the local market, or optimizing performance and sustainability – to understand market needs. This involves meticulous analysis, research, and evaluation to facilitate informed decision-making. Thus, it allows us to remain aligned with our goals and objectives. It enables us to be more strategic with our initiatives and adaptable to new industry trends.
Emphasizing workplace safety
Our roadmap also focuses on safety. We aim to enhance the safety competency of our employees to ensure they prioritize protocols and procedures in all aspects of their work and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
In addition to the mandatory eight-hour Safety and Health Seminar for our employees, which aims to provide the necessary knowledge and skills in preventing workplace hazards and accidents, IEE also introduced an additional eight hours of training in Safety Core Competency. This new training aims to improve and maintain the basic competencies for work welfare. The training will focus on different aspects to help improve the safety culture at IEE. This includes subjects such as Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC), Working at Heights, Basic Electrical Safety, Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPs), and more.
Ensuring customer satisfaction
We never forget our commitment to customer satisfaction and loyalty. Ensuring the loyalty of our current clients is a top priority at IEE. We achieve this through several key strategies.
First, we prioritize providing exceptional customer service. We ensure our clients feel valued and supported throughout their journey with us. We offer tailored solutions and services that address their specific requirements and deliver tangible value.
Our approach to client satisfaction is also rooted in trust-building, active communication, and mutual benefit. Prioritizing employee growth
Prioritizing our employees is another crucial part of our roadmap for several reasons.
One, employees are the backbone of our organization. Their engagement and satisfaction directly impact the company’s productivity, innovation, and overall performance. By prioritizing each employee’s well-being and engagement, we can curate a positive work environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and commitment to organizational goals.
Moreover, investing in our workforce development and satisfaction contributes to talent retention and attraction. A satisfied and engaged workforce is more likely to stay with the company long-term, reduces turnover costs, and ensures continuity in operations.
Furthermore, an engaged and satisfied workforce translates to better customer service and satisfaction. Employees who feel valued and supported are more likely to deliver exceptional service to our clients, thus increasing customer loyalty and retention.
To enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, we are implementing the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) this fiscal year. Once implemented, the HRIS will streamline processes such as leave filing and approval, and reimbursement and claims filing. Additionally, the system will facilitate goal setting and performance management.
Finally, we use employee feedback to improve the company’s systems and operations. We conduct online surveys and interviews to gather employee feedback regarding their experiences, challenges, and suggestions for improvement in the company. Their answers are considered in the management’s decision-making processes to build employee trust and to create relevant and impactful action plans for the company.
